Crown Street
The envelope of Elizabeth Tower and Crown Street marries transparent and opaque glazed units with custom perforated and recessed anodised aluminium panels, finished in a palette of five carefully matched shades. The anodised finish was delivered to the demanding Z33 standard, ensuring each visible aluminium surface met strict durability and consistency requirements. The building featured Anolok® Blue-Grey B715 perforated anodized metal sheets with a specific pattern, and solid Anolok® 545 Dark Umber panels.
Crown Street is a premium residential development in Manchester's emerging skyscraper district. Rising above Manchester to a height of 21 storeys, Elizabeth Tower's striking modular façade is characterised by more than 7,000 panels, each assembled as part of a high-performance, unitised system engineered and installed by Sipral and Genius Facades.
The building features panels finished in Anolok® II Blue Grey and Anolok® Bronze anodised aluminium, both chosen for their fade-free colour stability and proven resistance to erosion and corrosion in demanding urban conditions. These finishes provide an authentic metallic sheen and exceptional long-term durability that enhances the architectural appeal of Manchester’s skyline. All anodised surfaces benefit from a 25-year guarantee, ensuring lasting visual performance and low maintenance for decades to come.
