Anolok® II Blue Grey Anodising Manchester Science Park

The latest development in colour anodising.

The extended range of grey colours, produced by the Anolok® II process, is the very latest development in colour anodising. It exceeds the strictest construction industry standards and offers proven on-site durability of at least 25 years. By using light interference, a series of fae-free greys are produced - the primary benefit of Anolok® anodising which ensures your façade lasts for the building’s lifecycle.

How is the Anolok® II Blue Grey range made?

Our full range of Blue-Grey colours is achieved using the latest Japanese UNICOL colour matching technology in the Anolok® anodising unit. This technology uses pulsed square wave current to deposit the metal into the pores of the anodic film, creating the interference colouring effect.

The result is dramatically improved colour matching and tight colour limits. United Anodisers is the only company in Europe with this technology.

Because the Anolok® II Blue-Grey finishes are carried out after the normal sulphuric acid anodising film is produced, all standard architectural aluminium alloys can be anodised to Anolok® II Blue-Grey specifications. This includes the normal range of 6060/6062/6063 aluminium extrusions.

For sheet metal requirements, United Anodisers strongly recommends the use of a high quality, architectural grade, 5005AQ alloy with guaranteed gloss tolerances such as Novelis J57sUP and Aluminium Duffel 55HX. We will be pleased to advise on suitable sources of supply.
