2026 marks 55 years of UA producing electrocolour bronzes using the Cobalt based Anolok™ process. During that time almost 20 million of square meters of Anolok™ bronze extrusion and sheet have been processed and installed on thousands of buildings all around the world.
Due to its inherent durability and fade-free nature Anolok™ Bronze became the predominant finish for major buildings worldwide – a fact that is still the case today.
The 55 years of production have seen many changes and improvement in technology, for example organic colour anodising which expands the spectrum of colours available, offering endless opportunities for planners, architects, and designers worldwide
Organic colour anodising is a process where, subsequent to Anolok® Bronze anodising, the porous film is overdyed using architecturally stable organic pigments, giving a wide range of yellows, reds, blues, greens, oranges, or turquoises in subtle shades with guaranteed weatherability. This enables your aluminium products to withstand the effects of outdoor conditions with no fading and corrosion, extending the lifetime of your projects.
The Anolok™ colours themselves are produced by metal deposition and light absorption to give a totally fade-free finish. As a result of this, we have not received even one claim regarding to the durability of our anodised Anolok™ finishes in the 55 years since we started providing them.
In that time, we have anodised façades for thousands of major buildings, many of which have been in situ for decades. The lack of complaints in that time is a testament to the quality of both the Anolok™ system and the skills of our team.
Our processes are safe and backed by our rigorous quality control standards at every stage, giving us the confidence we need to offer a 25+ year lifetime guarantee on all our Anolok™ Bronze products – something that none of our competitors are willing to match.
