Anolok® Bronze

United Anodisers operates the Anolok™ process, where the colour is developed electrolytically by depositing cobalt metal into the porous film. Increasing the amount of cobalt deposited gives shades of bronze from pale bronze right through to black.

Light scatter produces the colours, and this method of production ensures that the colours obtained are completely fade-free.

High-performance, durable and environmentally friendly finishes with precise specifications and a 25+ year lifetime guarantee.

Features & Benefits

The Anolok Bronze range embodies an authentic metallic sheen, lustre and feel with exceptional durability, enhancing the innate strength of aluminium against corrosion. With a variety of shades and patterns that do not compromise UV resistance, the Bronze and black finishes achieved through the Anolok™ method using Cobalt surpass alternative options in numerous ways:

Anolok® Bronze

In the widest range of colours.

The majority of metals are unsuitable for electro-colouring, the choice being restricted to cobalt, tin or nickel. Although perfectly satisfactory results can be obtained with tin, processing is more difficult to control, particularly in the darker shades. Deposition can grow to the extent where the pores are difficult to seal and deterioration in a short space of time can result. The tin electrolyte is also highly acidic, which can lead to dissolution and increases the risk of poor abrasion resistance.

With a nickel based colouring solution production of dark bronze is difficult and black is impossible. Therefore Anolok™ colouring using cobalt is the safest of all the commercially available bronze anodising processes.

Anolok® Bronze History

Anolok™ colouring was commercialised in the mid 1960's in Japan. United Anodisers was granted an ANOLOK™ license in 1971 by Alcan International and has processed more Anolok™ bronze anodising than any company in the world outside Japan. Anolok™ is now a registered trademark of United Anodisers Limited.

In 1987 we introduced the Japanese "Unicol" colour matching technology into our colour anodising process. This dramatically improves the colour match piece to piece and is the only unit in Europe.

Trusted experience

Trusted by industry leaders.

United Anodisers is active worldwide, supplying prestigious projects in the established markets of Europe, North America and more recently in the rapidly growing markets of the Middle East and Asia. We are dedicated to providing a global solution to the challenges of creating a corrosion resistant, environmentally friendly, sustainable and long lasting material for architectural applications anywhere in the world.

I am extremely pleased and proud to confirm that we successfully handed over the above project on time and with our client, Overbury plc, making the statement that our installation was ‘stunning!’

John Pretty, Director - Metalwork Services Limited

The subtle mix of gold anodised shades adds to this eye-catching transformation, which compliments the surrounding buildings and makes it the focal point of this busy Leeds thoroughfare. A great effort from everyone involved.

The project looks fabulous, and the challenging pressings are very consistent in fact looking as close as I could get I could not see any noticeable difference pressing to pressing.

A close relationship with United Anodisers has allowed us to understand the complex Anolok process. For instance, we understand where to jig to prevent ruining the anodising effect. The result?, A smooth client experience.”

This was the first anodised project that I was involved in. Collaboration between Sotech A2O Cladding and United Anodisers enabled us to produce colours in one batch, which also accounted for the smooth delivery of the project.

How to clone into other project?

  • Press "Ctrl + E" or "Cmd + E" in the Designer and enable "Select on-page element".

  • Search for the class named, "Cloneable Area".

  • Copy the element inside this container to your own project.

  • Rename the classes accordingly if they are clashing with your project.

  • Ensure custom code from the in-page setting has been copied into your project as well (if there's any).

  • 'Page Trigger' interaction can't be copied directly. You can only clone the whole project, or rebuild it.
A simple trick to copy the 'Page Trigger' interaction into another project is as below:

    1. Create a dummy element.
    2. Apply any type of 'Element trigger' into the dummy element and select the 'Page Trigger' animation.
    3. Copy the dummy element with the animations applied into your new project.
    4. The animation should have been copied into your project and you can reapply the 'Page Trigger' animation into your project.

  • If you have further inquiry or need assistance, feel free to contact us.

  • Lastly, please do not copy this project and claim it as your own. We wish to continue sharing and giving to the community. In order to do so, we will need your cooperation and full support. Thank you very much,
