Anolok vs Analok: What’s the difference?

There are many different anodised aluminium finish available on the market. One of the most popular is Anolok^®, a premium finish for aluminium façades that exceeds the strictest construction industry standards and has proven on-site durability of up to 50 years.

It is created through a rigorously controlled scientific process creates a durable, beautiful finish which does not degrade, corrode or fade over time. Only minimal cleaning is required to restore its appearance, even decades after installation, making it the ideal long-term choice for architects.

However, it is sometimes confused for Analok – What is Analok?

Is Analok a competitor to Anolok^®

No. Analok is a simple misspelling of Anolok^®. It is not a separate product or a different brand. If you see ‘Analok’ on a specification, you can assume it means Anolok^®.

For example:

• Analok Bronze is the same as Anolok^® Bronze
• Analok II Blue-Grey is the same as Anolok® II Blue-grey
• Analok Black is the same as Anolok® Black

Fade-free finishes only available with Anolok®

If you have specified either Anolok^® or ‘Analok’, it is important that you use United Anodisers to ensure the best finish possible. Competitors cannot guarantee the trademark fade-free finish provided by Anolok^®.

If you go elsewhere or get an Anolok^® alternative, you risk an inferior finish for your building which is less durable, less aesthetically attractive and comes with more onerous maintenance requirements. That can lead to buildings with shorter lifespans and greater costs in the long term for the building owner and operator.
